The most anticipated event of the 2021 Call of Duty League season has here.
The 2021 CDL Playoffs, also known as the CoD Champs, are now ongoing. The top eight Call of Duty League clubs will compete for a portion of the $2.5 million prize pool from Aug. 19 to 22 after many months and five stages of regular-season play.
The Galen Center in Los Angeles will host the CoD Champs 2021. The LAN event will have spectators in attendance, but the CDL is putting in place stringent COVID procedures to guarantee everyone's health and safety. Those who are unable to attend may see the whole event on the official Call of Duty League YouTube channel.
After dominating the regular season and winning three of five Majors in 2021, the Atlanta FaZe enter this event as the No. 1 overall seed. However, they struggled in the Stage Five Major a few weeks earlier, finishing eighth, their lowest result of the season. There are even doubts about the No. 2 overall seed, the Toronto Ultra since they were defeated in the grand finals of the Stage Five Major by the biggest comeback in competitive Call of Duty history.
The Minnesota RKKR, who made the aforementioned remarkable comeback, is the most recent Major winner entering CoD Champs 2021. However, they'll face the Dallas Empire in the first round, who won the CDL Championship last season.

Clayster, a member of the 2020 Dallas squad, will be attempting to capture his third consecutive global championship, this time with the New York Dubliners. After taking a short hiatus from participating at the conclusion of Stage Five, the 29-year-old veteran is back in New York's starting lineup for CoD Champs. And his first match back will be against OpTic Chicago, a fan favorite, in the winner’s bracket's first round.
