Fantasy Dota 2 is the most effective method for esports fans to interact with their favorite players.
Players choose from a pool of players at a Dota esports event in a Dota 2 fantasy draught. Drafters have the freedom to choose players from any club, although they are typically restricted to a wage ceiling of $50,000. Players gain fantasy points by winning their matches throughout the event. Kills, assists, and match win all count toward a player's fantasy points total. Professional players may gain points by accomplishing goals like as warding off hostile Observers, building up a Killstreak, or conquering Roshan.
The player with the most Dota 2 fantasy points is named the winner at the conclusion of the tournament. While the top drafter often receives a prize, most Dota 2 fantasy leagues provide rewards to several participants who achieve a specific level of success.

Fantasy Dota 2
For a variety of reasons, fantasy esports is rapidly gaining traction among gamers. Following the COVID-19 epidemic, many major esports, including Dota 2, have resumed in-person play. The Singapore Major, a $500,000 event involving teams from all around the world, brought Dota 2 back to the LAN. Because elite players from all around the globe compete in these tournaments, they are perfect for fantasy Dota 2. You can recruit Southeast Asia's aggressive Midlanders into an all-star squad if you like seeing Europe's playmakers support but admire them.
Hey, it sounds just like Evil Geniuses' international roster, which you can also select as your fantasy team at the WePlay AniMajor tournament!
What is the best way to play Dota 2 in fantasy?
The nice people at Draftkings have finally included fantasy Dota 2 due to tremendous fan demand. The announcement comes with two new game modes: Dota 2 Classic and Dota 2 Showdown, both of which we'll go into in more depth later.
Another option for assembling your Dota 2 fantasy squad is to use a spreadsheet. The International, Dota's most important annual event, is supported by a Battle Pass, which can be bought in the Dota client. A fantasy competition is included in the Battle Pass, allowing you to select a superteam without regard to salary caps. Opening trade card packs give Dota players more player choices. Depending on the player's position, premium editions enhance certain metrics. Only by buying or earning further levels in the Battle Pass can users gain fantasy players. Unfortunately, the only prizes are more Battle Pass levels, and the drafting procedure is only available in The International. After then, all of the cards are simply turned into digital mementos.
The International 10 is still months away, and if you've already gotten this far, you definitely couldn't contain your enthusiasm for fantasy Dota 2. As a result, when it comes to tempting prizes and experience, Draftkings' fantasy Dota 2 is perhaps unrivaled.
Fantasy Dota 2 Classic mode
To begin, both modes have a lot of similarities, such as the scoring system. The in-game statistics of each player you choose will have an impact on their total points at the conclusion of the game. Kills and assists are among the in-game metrics, but they don't stop there; they also contain point reductions like death toll. Even minor metrics such as last hits and denials may have a significant impact on the final score, which can be significant in the case of farming carry players.
Shorter games, particularly 25-minute matches, are rewarded with a staggering 15 points in the mode. This leads us to the game's goals, such as the destruction of towers and barracks, which may effectively secure 15 points if the winning side is methodical in their victory. Players from high-win-rate clubs are essentially what you want in your ideal fantasy squad. Players from Invictus Gaming, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, and pretty much any other Esports powerhouse.
The lineup criteria are the main distinction between Classic and Showdown mode. You may choose up to seven slots in Classic mode, which is great news if you want to play the complete Evil Geniuses roster. For obvious reasons, there is a 4-player limit per team. Nonetheless, you may replace the hard support guy with four players from a solid club. Because support roles aren't known for having high numbers, they don't usually get much attention.
In order to meet the seven-spot restriction, one captain, three cores, two supports, and one team must all be present. Keep in mind that the captain gets x1.5 more points, thus a strong carry player is preferable. There is, however, a catch: choosing quality players as captain will cost you more money, especially since you only have $50,000 to work with. As a result, you may want to think twice about choosing someone like Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, who might easily bankrupt you.
Showdown mode in fantasy Dota 2
The Showdown mode, as previously stated, is objectively comparable to the Classic mode. The difference, though, is in the required lineup. There are only four slots available in Showdown mode, and at least two teams must be different. So much for our earlier recommendation of choosing an all-around EG team.
It's less complex and simpler to handle in retrospect, but it still has some intriguing characteristics. There are two captain positions, for example, which means you get twice the x1.5 extra points. The other two positions are flex positions, meaning they may be filled by any of the roles listed above, with the exception of captain.
