Mastering strategical skills, mechanical brilliance, or spectacular outplays What does it take to play League of Legends at the highest level? The recipe is constantly changing, and there are always disputes, but we'll do our best to address your query. The best ten professional League of Legends players of all time are listed below.

10. Doublelift (Retired)
Doublelift has earned the right to be ranked among the greatest players of all time. He began his career as a mechanical legend, like many other high-profile AD carriers. Doublelift was leagues ahead of his early competitors, being quick-witted and having unmatched mechanical accuracy. He's etched his mark in esports history as a veteran, leader, and innovator with outplaying after outplay. He did, however, resign at the end of 2020 after finding success with CLG, Team Liquid, and TSM.
9. Smeb (Retired)
Smeb is perhaps one of Korea's most recognizable players. All we have to do is mention the years 2016, G2, and Kennen, and every European League of Legends fan will have flashbacks of the battle. His incredible technical ability has propelled him into our top ten list of professional lol players.
He has won four regional championships (2 KeSpa Cups and 2 LCK Champions), is a two-time regular season MVP, and is the first top later in the LCK to surpass 1,000 kills. He rose to prominence while playing for the Rox Tigers, a squad that continued to compete against Faker's Dynasty SKT T1. Smeb announced his retirement from the professional League of Legends at the end of 2020.
8. Deft (LCK – Hanwha Life)
Deft makes League of Legends seem like an art form. His deadly instinct and aggressive style have earned him an eighth place on our list of the greatest professional players of all time. While his laning may not be as good as some of the others on our list, Deft makes up for it by paying close attention to detail during team battles or brief skirmishes.
However, as previously said, his over-commitment and eager aggressiveness may be costly to him and his team, particularly in the later phases of the game. We're certain that Deft can ascend the ranks of our top ten list with some work on communication in the late game.
7. Perkz (LEC – Cloud9)
On our top ten list, he is maybe the most unique player on the planet. When Perkz first debuted in 2016, he immediately demonstrated that there were a plethora of ways to play mid-lane – so many, in fact, that he was extremely unpredictable during the pick and ban phase of big League of Legends games and tournaments.
He established a reputation for himself on G2 as a mid laner and an ADC, switching roles to make space for Caps, who joined the team from Fnatic. He is one of the most decorated LEC players, having won four championships in a row and made it to the LoL Worlds semi-finals in 2018 and 2020, as well as the 2019 finals. He announced a change of area at the end of 2020, relocating from Europe to North America and joining Cloud9.
6. TheShy (LPL – Invictus Gaming)
TheShy is regarded as one of League of Legends' hardest hitters and most aggressive players in the early game. His overpowering aggression and tactical tactics would take an inexperienced player an inordinate amount of time to understand and perfect, but TheShy likes to have his cake and eat it as well. Aggression is TheShy's League of Legends playstyle. Due to his excellent communication, team fight efficiency, and general mechanical aggressiveness early and late game for his team, he ranks high on our top 10 League of Legends pro players tier ranking.
5. Rekkles (LEC - G2)
On our list of the professional League of Legends players, the bot lane bruiser is ranked fifth. Rekkles has been demonstrating what it takes to be a world-class AD carry since 2012, dominating the bottom lane with a diverse champion pool. Rekkles understands when to carry; his team fighting abilities are unrivaled, with him consistently establishing a CS advantage, pushing aggressively, and sustaining a gold advantage.
Rekkles became the first European player to achieve 1,500 competitive kills in the professional League of Legends inside Europe's LEC on July 27, 2019. The unexpected occurred at the end of 2020 when Rekkles left Fnatic and joined arch-rivals G2 esports for the 2021 season.
4. Caps (LEC – G2 Esports)
Caps is known for his technical brilliance, having won the champion pool, CS lead, and massive solo kills. His lead in games, nicknamed "Mini Faker," generally indicates that someone, somewhere, will be single murdered shortly. Caps are always developing new tactics and champion rotations, making him totally unexpected in mid-lane selections.
Caps can easily overpower anybody who stands in his path if left alone. While shaky at times, the Caps have the ability to carry many games if given a big enough lead. Many have chastised him for leaving Fnatic for G2 Esports, yet it is clear that Caps has been the most significant reason for G2 Esports' achievement in advancing Europe to the LoL Worlds finals 2019.
3. Uzi (Retired)
You'll always hear the name Uzi when it comes to top-tier bot lanes in League of Legends, no matter who you ask. Over the years, the LPL beast has ripped through the bot lane as an AD carry, bringing RNG many wins. Uzi's excellent communication and dedication to his support team demonstrate that he is a master thinker as well as a technical genius, as shown by the large number of champions he can play.
Unfortunately, Uzi's outstanding performances came at a cost, and he announced his retirement last year, just before the start of the 2020 LPL Summer Split, owing to a slew of wrist and shoulder ailments. In 2018, he set a career-high by winning the Mid-Season Invitational. Now, three years later, his team, RNG, has accomplished the same feat.
Uzi, a League of Legends star, has announced his retirement.
2. Rookie (LPL – Invictus Gaming)
The rookie came to prominence as a result of his outstanding Solo Queue performance. Rookie's massive champion pool, technical brilliance, and outstanding team fighting abilities wowed commentators and spectators when he was acquired by iG. During the 2018 League of Legends World Championship, Rookie came out swinging, smashing teams left and right and claiming to have dethroned our number one choice on our list.
His individual abilities were so impressive that he spent the whole tournament harassing world-class mid laners as though they were inexperienced gamers. Rookie is regarded by Invictus Gaming as the world's next greatest mid laner. Rookie, on the other hand, has a long way to go if he wants to be ranked first among our top ten professional League of Legends players.
1. Faker (LCK - SKT T1)
What did you think you'd get? It's Faker, of course. No other pro has ever come close to matching Lee "Faker" Sanghyeok's monster status. He is a technical genius who is known as the "Unkillable Demon King." Faker continues to progress, studying and mastering every League of Legends champion available. His roster is unrivaled, his mechanics are unrivaled, and his domination is so unbelievable that it continues to amaze commentators. He approaches League of Legends as if it were a painting, and he is the real artist in this situation.
Faker applies absurd levels of pressure to the opposing mid laner, treating his lane like a chessboard. Faker just has one goal: full lane domination and outplay till victory. His early, mid, and late-game communication, team-playing skill, and massive levels of pressure make him a legend who should not be underestimated. Faker has a long record of accolades, championships, and wins, earning him the top position on our list of professional lol players.
